MACCAZINE

MACCAZINE

About Maccazine
Maccazine is a hard copy magazine about Paul McCartney. Published by the Paul McCartney Fanclub (since 1973) three times per year. As the Internet took over the world and the latest Paul McCartney news could be found on hundreds of websites, the decision was made to focus on creating a paper magazine about Paul McCartney.

One timeline and two specials are published per year.
The timeline is a 30 pages magazine about the main Paul McCartney events during a certain year.

The specials are 58+ pages magazines with a full colour cover about an event in Paul McCartney ’s career after the Beatles break up. This can be an album by Wings, solo album, or a concert tour for example.

All Maccazines are written in English and contain lots of photos and illustrations.

You can buy and order  Maccazines as back issues, but as a Maccazine member you will receive the latest issues automatically at your home postal address.

Our aim is not to provide you the latest news about Paul McCartney but we want to deliver an interesting magazine with facts that have been obtained with extensive research by our editors.

Suggest you collect them all!

ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE - McCARTNEY

Paul's 'NEW' has been voted the fourth best album of 2013
 by Rolling Stone Magazine!

4**** out 5
Paul McCartney has consistently put out great albums in every decade. I’m not going to compare “New” to previous albums, because they’re all special in their own way. But I would definitely say that this is a great album, not just because the material is strong, but it shows Paul is still having fun, still looking for ways to make it fun, and still growing as an artist.

FAB4RADIO
"You did a great job launching Sir Paul's New.
I hope he appreciates it".

"Queenie, Queenie, who's got the ball" is a common children's playground game. It is played with a ball by four or more players.
A person is picked to be the "Queenie," and that person turns her back to everyone else. The "Queenie" then throws the ball over her shoulder and one of the other players needs to catch it or pick it up. Everyone, except the "Queenie", puts their hands behind their backs so that the "Queenie" does not know who has the ball. The "Queenie" then turns around and everyone shouts:
"Queenie, Queenie who's got the ball?
Are they short, or are they tall?
Are they hairy, or are they bald?
You don't know because you don't have the ball!"

GOOD OL" FREDA

GOOD OL" FREDA

The Film

Freda Kelly was just a shy Liverpudlian teenager when she was asked to work for a local band hoping to make it big. Though she had no concept of how far they would go, Freda had faith in The Beatles from the beginning, and The Beatles had faith in her.
History notes that The Beatles were together for 10 years, but Freda worked for them for 11. Many people came in and out of the band's circle as they grew to international stardom, but Freda remained a staple because of her unfaltering loyalty and dedication. As the Beatles' devoted secretary and friend, Freda was there as history unfolded; she was witness to the evolution – advances and setbacks, breakthroughs and challenges – of the greatest band in history.
In Good Ol' Freda, Freda tells her stories for the first time in 50 years. One of few documentaries with the support of the living Beatles and featuring original Beatles music, the film offers an insider perspective on the beloved band that changed the world of music.

ACHIM ScHULTZ -- HEARTBEAT

KLAUS VOORMANNS LATEST ALBUM COVER: Anyone reading this knows that Klaus Voormann was the man behind the Beatles' “Revolver” album cover. Come September, his work will be on another cover paying tribute to the Beatles. The album is Achim Schultz's “HeartBeat,” which will be released in September. The album has two tributes to George Harrison, a cover of “My Sweet Lord” and Schutlz's “Bye Bye George Harrison.” Of “My Sweet Lord,” Schultz says, “I thought about George Harrison a lot and began playing around with 'My Sweet Lord'. I recorded it just for fun, but when a few of my musician friends heard it they liked it so much and the recording made its way onto the album.” He says the acoustic guitar on the song and that was used all through the album was also designed by Voormann himself.
